Why Am I Receiving Reminder Emails or Texts to Finish My Application
Last updated: March 2, 2026
If you started an application through Findigs but didn’t submit it, you may receive a few automated reminders by email and/or text message. This guide explains why you’re seeing these messages, how long they last, and what to do next.
What these reminders are
Some properties use an automatic reminder sequence to help applicants return and finish an application that’s still in progress.
These messages are meant to help if you got interrupted or simply forgot to come back. Each reminder includes a link that takes you back to your application so you can pick up where you left off.
When you’ll receive reminders
If reminders are turned on for the property you’re applying to:
You may receive reminders starting as soon as 6 hours after you begin your application.
Reminders can continue for up to 4 days after you start.
You can receive up to 5 total reminders.
Timing can vary a bit, so you might not receive them at the exact same times each day.
How reminders are sent
Depending on what the property has enabled, reminders may be sent by:
Email
Text message (SMS)
Both email and text message
When the reminders stop
The reminders stop automatically when either of these happens:
You submit your application.
Once it’s submitted, reminders will no longer be sent.
4 days have passed since you started the application.
After that point, the reminder sequence ends even if the application is still incomplete.
Can I reply to a text message?
If you reply to one of these reminder texts, you may not receive a response. If you need assistance, we recommend contacting our Findigs support team at support@findigs.com, or select Get Support in your renters dashboard to chat with us.
