Understanding Your Findigs Itemized Receipt

After you submit your application and pay, Findigs will email you an itemized receipt that breaks down what you paid and what it covers. This guide explains when you’ll receive it, what the categories mean, and what to do if you can’t find the email.

When you’ll receive the receipt

If an itemized receipt applies to your application, Findigs sends it automatically right after your payment is successfully processed. You don’t need to request it or take any extra steps.

You’ll receive an email with the subject line “Payment Confirmation from Findigs” from the sender: noreply@findigs.com.

What the itemized receipt includes

Your receipt is designed to clearly show how your payment is allocated. Depending on the property, it can include:

Application fee

The amount you paid to submit your application

Screening cost

The portion used to run screening services, like credit checks, criminal reports, eviction checks, and income verification

Other administrative cost

The portion kept for the property’s internal processing costs (like administrative work)

Additional fees (when applicable)

Separate line items for add-ons shown during checkout, such as parking, pet rent, storage, and hold fees

Promo discounts (if used)

Any discount applied through a promo code

Total amount paid

The final amount charged

A few things to keep in mind

  • Pet verification fees aren’t included in this itemized receipt because they’re charged separately.

  • The receipt reflects the fees at the time you paid.

  • Findigs can’t regenerate or resend an itemized receipt once it has been sent.

  • The receipt email is sent from an address such as noreply@findigs.com. If you reply to it, you won’t receive a response.

Can't find your itemized receipt?

  1. Check your spam or junk folder.

  2. Confirm you used the correct email address during your application.

  3. Search your inbox for Payment Confirmation from Findigs.”

FAQs

Why did I get more than one receipt email?

This is expected. You will receive two emails after you pay:

  1. A payment confirmation from the payment processor (for example, Stripe)

  2. A Findigs itemized receipt that shows the fee breakdown

Both are correct. The payment confirmation shows your charge went through. The Findigs receipt focuses on the itemized breakdown.

I applied with roommates. Who gets the receipt?

If multiple people apply together, each person who pays receives their own itemized receipt for their individual payment.

I used a promo code and my total was $0. Will I get a receipt?

No. If your total comes to $0, no payment is collected. In that case, no receipt is sent because there wasn’t a charge.

I was refunded. What happens to my receipt?

If a refund is issued after your receipt is sent:

  • Your original itemized receipt still reflects the original payment.

  • You should receive a separate refund confirmation from the payment processor.

What if my payment failed or was declined

Itemized receipts are only sent after a successful payment. If the payment doesn’t go through, no receipt is sent.
